I have created Assemblies of purchased components and added the properties such as description, supplier, etc to the assembly. I now need to save the assembly as a part file. How can I do this and transfer the same properties to the part file without having to add them one by one?

Thanks guys. Macduff, I got your graphic but in my document properties box for both the part and the assembly, only the "Load from External File" is available. Also the ANSI-STI PART is not on the drop down menu. Any suggestions?

ANSI-STI PART is a file i created. Let me get back to you on saving.
