I'm assuming you're working in the master model method with the assembly loaded as a component of your drawing. If not you can do some but perhaps not all of the following. You'll also want partial loading turned on in your load options when you begin working on this. What I'm doing is trying to gain the advantage of saving you some memory usage.
Whenever you have a section one presumes that you have a base view. Under the style settings when you add a view you can find the Base Tab and set the type to "Faceted representation." That will save some memory and initially at least you may only need to load the faceted reference sets saving yet more memory. After that of course you can add a section which will work, but until you load the Solid reference sets you won't actually generate sectioned components. Which still raises some possibility that you only need to load solid reference sets of those components that the section goes through which in cases where it isn't all of the assembly is still some memory saving.
Good Luck and let's know how it goes.
Best Regards
