Dear All,
Considering applying rules of thumb such as 10 times the new bare CS roughness for piping systems cannot be extended to pipeline systems.. appreciate advising from your experience on how to assess the roughness to be applied for existing pipeline systems which need to be evaluated hydraulically as part of adequacy check studies. Does pipeline surveying is the only way for gauging the pipeline roughness.. what if the reason for increased roughness is due to wax/asphaltene?
Thanks
