Assign same section to many parts

Hello all,

my problem is that I have many imported parts in the same model, but their material is the same in all of them. Is there a way to assign the same section to all of them without going one by one?

Create element sets for each part and write section assignments directly in the input file for those element sets.

So nothing can be done using the GUI?

I can't think of a way to do it directly in the GUI (i.e. select them all and apply at once) but you should be able to do this with a Python script. You can run those in the command line. I've never done it so I don't have an example to attach but I know that the capability is there.
