Please see FAQ731-376 for tips on how to make the best use of Eng-Tips Fora.

But can one buy anything smaller than than the complete collection of tables for $450?

Buy the individual standards at about $40 each.

Join ASTM.
Ask for the desired volume on CD as your free one.
It is less than $100 to join.
Become part of the process. You don't need to attend meetings, just vote electronicly. You will know what is being worked on and you will see changes first.

Corrosion never sleeps, but it can be managed.

From what I can tell, those tables aren't in a standard. ASTM publishes them as an adjunct to D 1250. They aren't on my ASTM CD set, and I don't see them in the catalog available individually.

Wait...here are individual volumes in hardcopy.
Volume VII, Tables 53A & 54A, 1980, $52.

Volume VIII, Tables 53B & 54B, 1980, $52.

Volume IX, Table 54C, 1980, $44.

Corections to Volumes III & IX, 1995, $44.

The CD-ROM that generates all the tables is $450

The ASTM volumes supposedly containing the same information are significantly more expensive:
(Vol VII, $70)
(Vol VIII, $70)
(Vol IX, $60)
and I can't even find the 1995 corrections.
