I have an application where we are now using ASTM A1011 CS Type A or B. However, we need a material that is easily formed, easily welded, but has the strength and fatigue resistance to withstand continuous medium frequency vibration and continuous flexing due to low pressure pulses. This application is a housing that utilizes a vibrator that is turned on periodically and sequenced pulse pressures of less than 1 psig. Since ASTM CS Type A or B is a low cost sheet metal material, I need to find a material that does not cost much more or equal. Does anyone know the best choice between these materials below and which may best fit my application?
