ASTM A656 grade 80 vs. ASTM A1018 HSLAS-F GR80

Hello all,

Just trying to figure out if I have ASTM A656 Grade 80 called out on the drawing but the 0.5" part is cut from ASTM A1018 HSLAS-F Grade 80, should I be concerned? The part is part of a weldment and is used in a dynamic (fatigue) environment. Are these different material specs interchangeable?

I have the same qestion for ASTM A572 Grade 50 and ASTM A1018 HSLAS-F Grade 50?

A656 is for plate, while A1018 is for sheet or strip in coil form. The properties are the same, coil just costs a little less than plate. A572 is for structural steel, typically shapes or plate. Again, same properties as A1018.
