Is anybody here familiar with the ASTM F1717 testing standard? My question is rather specific, but here are the basics:

This standard is used to compare spinal constructs, and uses UHMW blocks or inserts to mimic vertebral bodies. However, no distinction seems to be made between testing for anterior (front) and posterior (rear) usages.

If there were a product that needed to be tested which combined anterior and posterior usages, what would an appropriate procedure be? The only thing I have thus far come up with is a double width block which can handle constructs on both sides, but maintains the proper moment arm. Any suggestions?
