ASTM material

Dear All,

I have a question about the ASTM material to apply in ASME pressure vessel construction.
As my attachment, table II-200-1 of ASME section II part A.
Please explain to me that "X" and "..." marking means on this table.

Is it means that can not apply ASTM material for ASME VIII Div.1 pressure vessel construction?
