There is one test method that may answer your query, but I don't know whether it uses DSC. Ít is called Wax Appearance Point of distillates, its number: D3117-03 .

If you find the correct answer, kindly keep us posted. Good luck.

I do not see the phrase "wax appearance" but ASTM D 4419 – 90 is titled, Standard Test Method for Measurement of Transition Temperatures of Petroleum Waxes by Differential Scanning Calorimetry.
"This test method measures the transition temperatures of petroleum waxes, including microcrystalline waxes, by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). These transitions may occur as a solid-solid transition or as a solid-liquid transition."
Other ASTM Referenced Documents include the followint:
D 87 Test Method for Melting Point of Petroleum Wax (Cooling Curve)2
D 1160 Test Method for Distillation of Petroleum Products at Reduced Pressures2
D 3418 Test Method for Transition Temperatures of Polymers by Differential Scanning Calorimetry3
E 472 Practice for Reporting Thermoanalytical Data
E 473 Terminology Relating to Thermal Analysis
E 474 Test Method for Evaluation of Temperature Scale for Differential Thermal Analysis
