I have the need to convert ASTM specs for various steel projects into JIS specs for my company. Also, AISI to JIS with a particular example being AISI 1018 to JIS equiv...

1) If anyone knows of a good reference doc or

Here is one cross reference of several mentioned at this site. If you are in the specification arena you might need to get an Atlas of World Steels of the like for a documented reference.

Buy a new copy of the UNS handbook 10th edition.
It lists extensive grade and specification cross ref.
