Attaching a Border

I have only been working with Microstation for a couple of days and can't figure out how to attach a border. I have 300 files of drawings and another with the border that needs to be attached. How is this done in Microstation XM? Any help quickly would be great!!

Your border should be a reference file. You will need to reference all of your files to a common sheet file. Unless you are using Geopak then there are procedures that are available to use. Let me know exactly what type of sheet you are preparing, then I will be able to point you in the right direction.

Another option is to make your border a cell and insert it into each drawing. The cell can be scaled if need be to fit each drawing.

I use both approaches.

I you have an add-on like Axiom's Title Block Manager, inserting the border sheet as a cell is the way to go.

Good point if you want to spend additional money on third party ware. However, using the stand alone you will need to setup where you want your resources stored and refer to them through the workspace>configuration. Here you can tell microstation where you have all of your resource files stored.
