Hi,
Has anyone developed sections and material properties that can be reused on SAp 2000 specifically for Australia? Or alternatively do they no how to create or modify the libraries provided? I've sent email to CSI but haven't received a reply. They seem to ignore people from Australia. Anyway, One thing I thought of was to build a base template file with all the different section info, and use it as a template everytime. This however might cause problems with large files/corruption of data. That's why I wanted to follow the procedure mentioned in their manual. Apparently there was a program called PROPER that came with my version of SAP. There doesn't seem to be a reason to upgrade the version I have, if I can't get support from them.
Anyway I appreciate any help. Also I think the ACI and or the NZ code for Concrete design should be pretty close to AS 3600, any ideas? I'm a pretty junior engineer so I haven't had occasion to compare all these codes. The only thing I notices was that the bending capacity factors can be changed in SAP to 0.8 and a textbook I was looking at seemed to imply that the basics of AS3600 and the ACI are the same, although in different units.
