Hi

Thanks to Carlb. The answer is RH bracket was missing from first line.
The lisp is great for just inserting an incrementing number but what I would like to do is insert a item code as well. Something like XYZ1 : XYZ2 :XYZ3. I know I could multiple copy the XYZ part and then run the lisp to autonumber but that would mean aligning each one to look right.

Does anyone know of a lisp that will do the code and number together

Many thanks

Cadman

If you have Express Tools,

Command: TCOUNT

will do this, but output will be formatted 1XYZ, 2XYZ, ETC., not XYZ1 : XYZ2 :XYZ3; the way you have it.
