Hello Everyone!

I would like to know if any of you out there are familiar with Cadworx Plant Professional 2006 & if so, is there a way to link a "Part Number" to each different piece of pipe / flanges / elbows etc... I think it has something to do with the "dbcodes" or "Database codes" file...? I have figured it out for the steel package of the program, but not for the rest of the fittings!! Any help would be great!

Thanks!

Lee H.

Its been a while since I used CADworx, but you should be able to do this in the spec editor. Unfortunately you would have to do it for each size piece. i.e. 2" 90 Ell, 3" 90 Ell, etc. If you worked with the spec editor before you know you better find a better solution.

A few years ago I suggested to Coade that they build a better spec builder, and laid out a few suggestions for them. Have they done anything with that yet?

Thanks for the reply....

Yes, I agree, their piping package needs some "massaging" in some areas! Well our company (Toromont Energy Systems) a division of Toromont Industries, is working on a way to improve that spec builder / editor, but it is taking longer than anticipated, so I thought i'd try to fix some problems myself until they get it all figured out! I think they are working with another company on the matter & will suggest improvments / changes with Coade
