Does anyone know how to improve selection speed, or better yet, tell me what causes it to slow down to a crawl when I select objects or text, especially when pulling a window or crossing. It's taking around 5-6 seconds for entities to highlight, then the same amount of time for them to respond to the command. It's only certain drawings, and I have had it even suddenly "stop"......and start working properly.

It's driving us nuts!

Thanks in advance.

Might even want to look at graphics driver updates. We had some issues a few years back that sound similar.

Thanks for the link to the service pack. Although, I've tried all day to acces the page, I can't seem to get it.

I'll try some more tomorrow.

Okay, I downloaded the AutoCad 2005 servicepack. Only now it tells me it can't find the "expected AutoDesk product on my computer".....

I'm confused. I am using the 2005 pack:

Land Desktop
Civil 3d
Civil Design

Of course this includes regular AutoCad 2005, because I use it the most often for drawing purposes.

Not sure. I'm using 2005. I don't know if ACAD 2006 has been released yet. From what I understood from the sales rep, there are add-ons still in the works for 2005 that wont be available before year's end.

Anyone feel free to correct me if things have changed since then. This was around May or so when we upgraded to 2005.

Autodesk 2006 series of products was released in March of 2005. Makes no sense.

No it doesn't. Like I said, correct me if....

I'm so busy just trying to get 2005 to work as well as its predecessors that I've lost touch with what's up next.
