A BricsCAD quesiton for anyone who is familiar with AutoCAD but uses BricsCAD too. I use AutoCAD at work, and bought a copy of BricsCAD for home for pricing and compatibility reasons ...

In AutoCAD, if I have a shape I need to extrude along a centerline, including bends & turns, etc, I select the "PATH" option of the extrude command. Is there a corresponding method in BricsCAD ?

Thanks -

Ok, it worked once, with no problem, but now I just can't get the sequence right. The command waits for you to select an entity , but hitting enter or return, goes straight to a value for extrude extents, and the option for "Path" no longer appears, either at the commmand line or in any option menu as with other commands.

Still working on it. Thanks-

Ok, it turns out that the command offered at the ICON in the 3DModeling Toolbar isn't the base command, but some optimised version of it. I replaced that with the base EXTRUDE command, and the path option returns, exactly as expected. This is what was tripping me up to begin with - if I entered the command at the command line it worked perfectly. When I found its location and used it from the Toolbar, the path option didn't offer during the command operation. With the main command in place, all's well, and I'm progressing onward again.

Thanks again -
