Autocad Drawing

can anyone let me know whether a drawing made in autocad can be opened in Pro-e and if yes how.

Probably, if you export it as an IGES or STP.

I'm uncertain as to why you didn't ask this question in the Autocad or Pro/E forums

It should. One of two ways. Either Pro-E can open directly by going to File, Open then in the file format window select All Files. Once you see your file click on it and try to open it. If Pro-E can open it in its original format then it will. If not it will error.
Next, there should be a universal format that both softwares can convert to. One should be IGES or try DXF. If neither work there will be one that does. The list of files the programs can open will be under the selection tab for 'File types to open'. Which can be accessed by going to 'File' , 'Open' and the selection tab will be in this window.
