Hello everyone…….
Ok, My concept is not clear about AutoCAD MEP. I need advice and help.
Let’s see, I have a single story office building. Make Construct drawings M-1, P-1 ….. etc and do 3D drafting. Then I make views and Sheets and plot the project.
Now,
I have a 3-story office building. My construct drawing set would include M-1 First floor HVAC, M-2 Second floor HVAC, P-1 First floor Plumbing & P-2 Second floor Plumbing.
In 3D, all systems should be connected. So logical sense is that I make one construct drawing, x-ref all my floors and roof, and then draw mechanical and plumbing systems which are connected between first and second floor………………. Is it a correct logic? But then how will I separate drawings for first floor and second floor?
Now, if I draw my systems separately on first floor and second floor in 3D, then how would I connect the systems? Like water supply serving toilets on second floor and roof drains coming down from roof to underground. If I make separate construct sheet, then the systems will not connected and it will not be a true 3D project……………….. Correct?
So, what is the proper procedure to start?
