AUTOCAD / MICROSOFT ACCESS

I have created blocks in Acad and linked them to an Access database via their description.
I now want to insert these blocks into other drawings, and whiles doing so automatically create a parts list.
Is this possible? How do I do it?

There are plenty of 3rd party utilities to create a BOM or parts list from a database. Search the Autocad and AutoLisp library sites. Here are some Google.com search results on commercial offerings:
