Here's a question: if you could use A/cad or WF2 for creating and maintaining a set of schematics, which would you choose? I have imported acad dwgs into Ilink with success but I'm trying hard to find any true benefit in doing so. Also, Intralink can work with acad, word, excel etc...but it adds that number at the end and you can't just pass the file around and then get it back into intralink at the end of the day. You can work on files but they have to stay in the workspace to be eligible for checking in later. What's the point in forcing all this powerful software to work on 2d drawings? I'm trying to break a tie in the decision-making here so any opinion would help.
Thanks

Most of the companies I have worked for tend to stick with ACAD for hydraulic schematics rather than ProE. Doing schematics in layout tends to be rather time consuming and a touch tedious campared to ACAD.

After saying that, when it comes to hydraulic circuits, there are quite a number of packages out there that will do schematics (and circuit analysis) far better than ACAD. For the life of me, I can't remember what CAT used, but it was an impressive piece if kit. If you wanted, I could call a guy I know who would tell me.
