I want Autocad to calculate and label pipe sizes as I draw the piping system in plan view. Once the piping system is drawn in plan view, I want Autocad to convert it into an isometric. Where do I began? Can anyone suggest any good reference books I can start with? My background is plumbing/piping engineering and I am familar with autocad 2002. I have programmed in fortran about 10 yrs ago.

Dear promero,

Based on your programming experience, I suggest you to
use the AutoCAD VBA. The best reference for the AutoCAD
VBA is offered in the AutoCAD 2000.
There is a file in the AutoCAD 2000 Help folder with
the name VBADEV.PDF.
Studying the above-mentioned file and testing its samples
will be very useful to learning AutoCAD VBA.
