I (somehow) have been elevated to CAD manager within our company. We are a new business sector and as such have been hiring new people and basically everyone here has been with the company for a short time.
I don't quite know how to inquire as to each persons skill level (without offending them or putting them on the defensive). I am interested to see who knows what so that i can hand out assignments based on complexity and so that we can schedule regular training to ensure that each employee has the necessary skills.
Q1. Does anyone know of a link to an existing skills matrix that i can use as a starting point.
Q2. In your opinion what are some of the skills that you would look for in a CAD person?
