I know a little VBA for Microsoft Excel and Word.

And I know even less about LISP.

I recently learned that there is a VBA IDE in AutoCAD (I'm running 2018). And a few weeks ago, I had an idea to fudge together a macro that would calculate the weights and overall center of gravity for a group of selected solid objects that represent different types of material in the model. And it's basically doing what I want it to.

I've read a little bit about the VBA-AutoCAD history, since Release 14. And how it made somewhat of a resurgence, since VBA 7.0 (which apparently works with both 32-bit and 64-bit software). So I'm just wondering, is VBA any more or less useful than LISP? And does LISP have more of a future than VBA (or visa versa) as they relate to the Autodesk Universe?

Thoughts and input appreciated...just curious...

I've attached the AutCAD DVB file with the macro. The code is messy. There is little or no error handling. And the math has not been checked for correctness.
