Hi,
What are the most common standards numbers to design autoclaves?
Thanks,

I can't help you with the specifics here from home this Sunday afternoon, however I might be able to point you in the right directions during the week.
I believe that there is a MIL spec that covers these such products.

Are you talking structural design or process design? For the structural part, ASME Section VIII, Div.1 gives you the guidelines to use for shell, flanges fittings etc. If you're talking process design maybe one of the mechanical experts has some references.

Hello,

I would also reccommend that you go to the National Board web page and find your way to their technical articles archive. There are 2 articles there (quick opening doors is the specific focus) which every engineer who is involved with autoclaves should read and understand.

Regards, John
