Autodesk Inventor 10 hotfix does not work

Text does not appear in Autodesk Inventor 10 .idw files, or drawing views.
Several post answers have directed users to download this file to fix this issue:

I downloaded it and tried to install, but it says something to the effect of: This hotfix is not intended for the installed version of Autodesk Inventor 10.

The download page for this hotfix claims to cover several preceding, and several later version of Inventor.....

What now????

That hotfix requires you to be on INV10 SP3a.
Learn to update MUCH more frequently and you won't have these issues. My god that text issue was from YEARS ago.
Do you really only update your software/OS every 3 years or something?
Have fun for the next 10 hours of updating your software...
