Previously used Autocad 2006. When saving to pdf, the filename would auto fill in the save box.

Converted to Autocad LT 2019 and this does not occur. Have tried PDF Complete, Primo PDF and CutePDF.

Seeme it is related to Autocad. If you have any advice I sure would be glad to hear it!
Thanks.

I've noticed this too and it's not directly related to AutoCAD.
All of the PDF Printers you listed are simply ignoring the data, but it is available, and many others do the same. I even find that the Windows 10 "Microsoft print to PDF" driver also fails to capture the filename. The only one that still captures it for me is Adobe PDF driver, which comes with the Acrobat Reader (I think).

Within AutoCAD, however, you can use a very specific printer driver which should be included, called "DWG to PDF.pc3". If you have that printer option available in AutoCAD, I think that one captures the file name. Even when you use PUBLISH, I think it works.

I use DoroPDF as a printer 'driver' and it captures the file name as well as the 'tab' name for model or paperspace... flawless.

To both replies...DWG to PDF.pc3 does pick up the filename but I haven't been able to set up the output window quite yet, just not enough time to fiddle with it.

Doro PDF did pick up the filename and tab name. Is there a way to disable the tab name?

Thanks for the replies.

Um... Maybe you are being forced to do something that I didn't have to do. Care to explain what the obstacle is?
"Set up" the DWG-to-PDF.PC3 plotter? Or "set up" the PUBLISH dialog box? I found both work well enough on the defaults but do get better with some tweaking.
