Hi,

I am creating generic part drawings of a parametric assembly components (part dimensions are driven by relations written in the assembly program). I have 2 questions: 1) If I do regenerate the drawing every time, how do I keep it properly scaled? (I know it could be done with the drawing scale parameter, but not sure how to implement it). 2) If I choose not to regenerate the drawing: I tried to use an instance with “frozen” dimensions as a drawing model. Family Table would allow me to lock an instance with certain dimensions, and it seemed to work at first, but after I close the files, open the assembly and regenerate it with the new values, the “locked” instance takes new values (same as generic – driven by relations). Could this be “broken”, i.e. can I “lock” an instance if its dimensions are driven by relations?

Thank you,

Oxana

Hello,

Just thouht I'd look through old posts.

1). All you need to do is create a relation for the scale e.g. PART_SCALE=400/d4 for each part. When you add the view select SCALE and enter PART_SCALE.

2) Not sure yet, will look tomorrow.

Hope this helps.
