I have found over time that the automatic relations in SW do not work half of the time. Example: points on a spline opposite from another show a automatic relation will be added (dash line appearing) for a horizontal or vertical relationship but yet i need to go back and add one manually or diminsion the point. Our other cad package never had this problem. (yes i have auto relations (contraints) selected in the options menu). Why has SW watered down this feature.

There is one subtle cue in the auto relations to watch: the color of the indicating lines. A brown indicating line means that the relation will be added. A blue indicating line means that the criteria for relation is met at that position, but the relation will not be automatically added. [bat]Gravity is a harsh mistress.[bat]

Well good news solidworks will be changing in SP3.0 and even if the line is blue but a H or V symbol (horizontal or vertical symbol) show up then a relation will be created. This is going to save a lot of time.
