Automatic update of Measurement

Is there a way to have a measurement/Weight/etc that automatically updates in the specification tree? I currently have a InteriaVolume in my sprec tree, but it has to be manually updated.
I thought I remember being shown that these measurements could be set to automatically update.

yes tools->options->parameters & measures->measure tools tab
