Hi there,

Does anybody here have experience with multiple different automation systems (Simatic S7, Allen Bradley, etc..)? I am looking to automated a couple simple processes (Digitial in and outs). Nothing high speed or really accurate.
Any manufacturer you can recommend from your experiences?

Siemens & A-B are a couple of the Big Dogs of the PLC market. Excellent, powerful, well-supported, well documented, many functions, bazillion I/O, blah blah blah. You pay a price for that.

If you need simple/cheap, there are other options:

Also a variety of "programmable relays" or "micro-PLCs",

certainly others out there on the market...
