Hello,

Right now, I am converting a CATIA V5 model of an air cleaner into UGNX2.

I am just wondering if anybody could provide me information on how to design an air cleaner.

The parts that I have right now are the following:
Fresh Air Duct
Tuning Tube (located inside the lower)
Lower (mounted to the car)
Filter
Cover
Hydrocarbon Adsorber
Seal
Clean Air Duct

What are the things to consider?
Does the lower and cover need a certaing volume?
Also, the duct, do they need a certaing cross section area?
How do you figure what volume and cross section area do you need? Is it based on engine size?
What is the tuning tube for?

Right now, I have re-modelled all the catia v5 parts into UG and when I got the environment, I am crashing all over the place. I just need to know what to consider when I start to modify the part to get rid of the interference.

I have tried getting info from the engineer but I havent heard from them yet! I guess they are too busy?

Thanks in advance
