I think it's parts of a billet Cobra built for Larry Ellison.

Wow, I can't believe that they machined an entire vehicle structure, suspension, etc. out of Al. Larry Ellison has more money than he knows what do with...[bluegreedy]

Very impressive.

Still, with main frame rails open section aluminum and only ladder type crossmembers, I wonder how the torsional stiffness compares to the original Cobra largish steel tubes

So will Larry Elison ever get as much fun out of owning and driving this car as the guys got who made it?
Hand's up those who would rather build the car than drive it, if they could only do one or the other?

Build it, no question.

The frame appears to be bolted together with an hardware and MS21042 type nuts. While pretty to look at, would it really hold up under real driving conditions?

I'm more concerned about the front/rear lower "ball" joints which appear to support the vehicle weight through a laterally loaded heim joint !

The front does appear to be that way, the rear looks to be OK with the spring/shock link going to the upright.
