Average Cost To Build House (Los Angeles Area)

I am trying to find out what is a good approximately cost estimate to build a house in the Los Angeles Area based on square footage. Do you guys know where I could find this information.

What kind or flooring and countertops? That is an INDICATION of the type of construction and cost you can apply when you provide the square footage and volume. That will give you a general number.

Nothing to fancy. Either wood laminate or the not so expensive tile. Also, not looking for expensive countertops, just typical stuff you can buy at a home depot.
