AWS D1.1 Delivery condition in not listed materials. Essential variable?

Hi everybody,

According AWS D1.1, does a PQR welded with material EN S-355 J2 N (normalized), a material not listed in AWS materials, qualifies a WPS for same material but in different delivery condition? In this case it would be S-355J2 AR (as rolled). Would require a PQR with EN S-355 J2 AR?
According Table 4.8, it says that only the specific combinations of steel listed in the PQR, but material and grade are the same, so I do not know if delivery condition is treated as a different material.

Think of it this way, if the delivery condition, i.e., hot rolled, cold rolled, normalized, etc. has a direct affect on the mechanical properties, then it does matter.

For the most part, the materials listed by D1.1 are hot rolled, but those materials that are quenched and tempered are included as a separate category. As such, the PQR would only apply to the specific materials used for the qualification effort. That would include the state of heat treatment.
