If a welder takes a plate-groove test in the 3G & 4G positions would he also be qualfied to weld pipe or tubing? Table 3.7 indicates that pipe positions flat for groove and flat & horizontal for fillet are qualifed but table 3.8 has no reference to the diameter limitations.
