What AWWA code applies for adding a 4" SS branch connection to a 48" penstock.(have requested penstock material spec from client).
Have multiple ASME codes 31.xx, and also have an AWWA calc sheet for branch connection, but do not know if it is latest code.
What AWWA spec relates to calculating branch connections?
For just one connection, would like to avoid purchasing an AWWA code. Possible code might be C200, C206, or C220.
Because of the one-time need, would consider connecting with some one who can help verify the calc sheet that I have.
Mathcad file in .rtf uploaded.

I’m not sure you will find a standard specifically applicable to this material for penstocks; however, AWWA M11 as well as ASCE MOP #79 (for steel penstocks) discuss steel nozzle etc. fabrications onto larger steel pipes. [I believe most manuals refer back to applicable sections of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel codes (for reinforcement design/details etc.)]
