I'm currently working on a project that requires our company to procure carbon steel pipe Q235BS from china. These pipes are for water transportation and our client has requested the pipes to meet both the AWWAC200-97 and API5LB standards. Unfortunately I have yet to find a company that will supply pipes with both standards. Most suppliers have API5LB certification but when I ask them about AWWAC200-97 they seem clueless. Excuse my ignorance but can some one tell me if both standards are possible?

Thanks

I don't have a copy of either specification, but you can search for it and purchase it on the Internet.

The AWWA is the American Water Works Association. The C200 is a specification for steel water pipe 6" and larger in diameter;

The API 5L is a specification for carbon steel pipe, the B is a Grade;

Try this one.

Ran into Chinese ERW pipe over the last couple of years that has had seam problems. The marking was good and of course all the paperwork looked good.

Seems they may still be using the LF welding process in some cases.

Depending on what you are doing...may want to sample some of this pipe before use. IMHO
