Crane mounted truck or truck mounted crane?

At 60 tons you will either need lots of axles or a minimum of 2 outriggers.

It is crane mounted truck which will roll on the acces road to the plant and will be used for erecting equipment etc weighing as much as 60 Ton. I will assume the crane will be on outrigger pod five in number & the tires would be off the ground during erection phase. The load on the pod can be distributed by placing timber tie mat. My question is what would be the axle load or wheel load when truck is rolling on the road with boom being horizontal, that is , without any lifted load.
Thanks for your input, appreciate it.

Depends upon where you are, but normally vehicle axle loadings are designed to conform with local axle weight limits. Check with the governmental agency that has jurisdiction over axle weight limits.

Some heavy tow truck rigs have 60 ton cranes (as opposed to hydraulic lift arms) that are mounted right about the middle of the chassis. They have a total of 10 wheels on 3 axles and use 2 out-riggers. Their loading is likely different than a multi-purpose crane, but the overall package would weigh at least as much.

FWIW, these trucks can also drive forward at road speed while carrying up to about 18,000 pounds resting approximately 2-3m behind the rearmost axle.
