Hello Catia users,

We want to rename our configurations.
By default the configurations are named by numbers, starting with 1 up to ...
We want the numbers replaced by names.
Is it possible to change the names of the different configurations?

Greetz,

Koen and Gregory

it is possible to change the names of the parts, all you need to do is open the catolog document in the catolog editor and add a part family. for each instance you can rename the part names...

Thanks Jimicatia,

Thanks to your fast reply, our problem is solved.

On "Part Design"-Level we added a column to our Design Table and associate it with PartNumber. Then we filled in the column by giving each configuration a partnumber.

Partnumber:
* Small
* Medium
* Large

Those PartNumbers are shown in the tree for the correspondent configuration.

But we also tryed out the catalog, and it seem to be a beter solution if you want to use different configurations in a Assymbly.

Thanks,

Koen and Gregory
