B46.1 cutoff selection

I have a spec. that calls out surface roughness per the B46.1, the RA is 125 or better but it does not have the cutoff to use, the blueprint does not call out the RA. B46.1 states on prior drawings when the callout is not specified, the 0.8mm (0.03") was applied is this still the same practice.
