Folks;

I am designing in aspen flare analyzer the flare network.

when setting the parameters of the Blowdown valves, I am supposed to set the back pressure @the valve.

Any idea how to calculated it?
is it based on the Maximum pressure of the system?

Back pressure before activation is the pressure in the flare header during 2normal" operation.

You often get some waste gas or flare gas in there. It might be very low, but its not zero.

when the BDV opens then the back pressure is the flare header pressure with presumably all of the BDVs suddenly opened. This is the output from the network analysis.
