I am looking for information on "Ballastcrete". It is supposed to be a kind of mud used as ballast.

Can anyone help me, please?

Thanks in advance.

Other than high density concrete the only other material I've seen used as a mineral ballast was a material based on Bentonite clay. The name wasn't Ballastcrete.

There is a company called Blastcrete that makes various cement pumps and mixers.

I've seen the Blastcrete name on this wesite.

Try also

Good Luck

Thanks for the info, but i think this is not what i was looking for. I was thinking on a slurry ballast... I don´t know if i am expressing correctly.

Anyway, thanks for the info

Best regards.

when i get back to work on moday i will dig out a company ref for you. For the moment yes the balast creete is like a slurry and can have a variety of densities it can also be put in with a hardener applied, which makes it set and therefore solid and hard to remove or without the addition of the hardener where it remains as a slurry.

Whilst calling it a slurry i was informed that it did not give free surface effects in the same way as a fluid which may or may not be of use to you. Gt back to you with the address on monday.

Thanks for your interest ncc212.

Yes, actually the ballast crete is a commercial registered product and it is not the only one with that characteristics in the market. By other means a could contact two or three companies specialized in this slurry ballast and so I think the question I did is already answered.
Anyway, it would be very kind of you to post the information you have on this companies (the links) so i can see if there is someone i didn´t know of.

Thanks for all in advance and happy christmas for all of you.
