Balloon leader leaders wont attach in NX 8.5 1

I can't seem to attach my balloon leaders to objects in my views. When I select the ballon command, then click the leader button (select terminating object) in the dialogue box, I cannot attach to objects. It's like objects are simply not recognized.

Ficured it out... you must click and drag to get a leader.

This method should also work to add a leader to a balloon. Double check your selection filter before trying to select the component.

"click and drag" to get a balloon leader - now why doesn't Siemens have that featured in the NX Help for Create and Edit Balloons?! That's a great tip, and a good enough workaround instead of having to "Select Terminating Object" every darn time I place a balloon. (because my Balloon command always defaults to "Specify Location" first, the opposite of what is useful).

It's actually "click, hold and drag". BTW, at lesat in the NX 10.0 help files, we do talk a lot about 'click and drag' on the help page 'Shortcuts for editing annotation leaders'.
