Created a drawing of an assembly and then placed a parts list. From the parts list used Auto Balloon command and picked the view(s). Balloons came in but there is no number inside the balloon. Double clicking the balloon to get the properties will allow me to change the size of the ballon but no matter what size it is, there is no number.

Does your Parts List have an item callout column? If so, are there any values displayed in it?

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

John, It has a PC NO, PART NAME, and QTY columns. PC NO contains no data.

OK, select the 'PC NO' column of the Parts List note, press MB3, select 'Style'. When the dialog opens select the tab labeled 'Columns' and in the field titled 'Default Text' enter the text string '$~C' and then hit OK. Now select the entire parts list note and select 'Update'. This should get you back to where you need to be.

I just used the pulldown for Column Type and then selected Callout again. It entered in the text you suggested. An update fixed it. UG error or driver error?

Not sure. It should have defaulted to the correct content the first time out, unless you were using a previously edited and saved template file.
