What you need to do is define 'Clearance Sets' which can consist of one or more components/bodies and you can then assign them what's called a 'Clearance Zone' which is like that 'Band' that you're talking about. It's the additional 'space' around each 'Clearance Set' that will be used to determine if there are any 'Soft' interferences are not. 'Hard' interferences are just what they sound like, where bodies actually occupy some common volume of space. 'Touching' is just that, where bodies simply touch but do not actually interfere. And 'Soft' is where one body impinges on another body's 'Clearance Zone'.

To set up a 'Clearance Set' go to...

Analysis -> Assembly Clearance -> Clearance Set -> New...

...and when the dialog opens you will see a field to define the 'Clearance Zone'. If you hit the 'F1' key you'll get the help files which will explain how to use the various options, including 'Clearance Zones', as well as how to select what components go into what 'Clearance Set'.

yes, I can do a clash analysis, that works in NX.
I'm looking for the distance coloring I have in V5.

You can use a deviation guage, however it only works between bodies in the same part I would usually just wavelink child parts into the assembly level.

Analysis>Deviation>Gauge...
