Baselining in Teamcenter

I tried to baseline an assembly in Teamcenter and the result was a new PDI without datasets (view only) for the assembly and components, and the "in process" sign instead of a flag. I got the message "unable to delete dataset, instance referenced, failed on object ... (dataset)" for all item revisions, which I think I might be able to delete. Is there any information available regarding this?
I am using Teamcenter 2007. Thank you!
