When I open the Catia part design , I lost the XY, YZ, XZ plane which comes in the centre of screen. I tried to restart, show all elements but couldn't retrieve the planes to work on it.(On the history list, there is a plane list & its in show mode)

Also, I tried to open the other models but couln't see anything even after show every element. (using catia v5 R14 SP4)

I also tried Tools/Customize to restore commands & its position but didn't help

Let me try to ask in a better way,

I tried to open the existing file(which has part file) but don't able to see the solid eventhough Tools-show all elements?

When I start new part design, I don't able to see the planes(XY, YZ, XZ) in centre,?

(I tried to open the new product & copied the existing part file then able to view the solid part)

Par1....

several questions to try to pinpoint your problem:

1. which workbench are you using?

2. have you used the Graphic Properties Wizard to verify everything is in SHOW mode? (or did you switch to the Hide view to see if the planes and solid are there?)

3. are you working with cache mode?

I'm on Mechanical Design/Part Design using Catia V5 R14 SP4.I tried to Graphic Properties Wizard in show mode but didn't help out. (don't know much @ cache mode?)

Let me know if i'm doing any mistake or need to install software again?

par1,

Check your visualization filters (under Tools). Select "all visible".

Good Luck.

Hi,

Try the Menu View / Geometry ... should be ON

I would delete all of your catsettings and restart Catia. Sometimes the settings get mixed up and weird things start to happen. According to Dassault, you should delete these every time an upgrade is done.

I would also update your video drivers.
