Hey Everyone..
Intro : I'm currently working on my final project to design a single effect absorption chiller (LiBr-water based solution).
probs : I'm stucked when it comes to understand the design constructions of the vessels either for generator-condenser or absorber-evaporator by using ASME VIII div 1 as per Appendix 13 ; Vessels Of Noncircular Cross Section. The shape of the vessel is rectangular.
Q :
1. what does it mean by uniform/multidiameter holes in plates ? does it mean like I have perforated plates used for side walls of a vessel ? how are these design applicated since the fluids inside will leak through the wall to the environtment ?
2. I have a vessel consist of long and short side wall without any hole for the generator-condenser. The em and eb in ASME is only for such perforated plates. so how do I determine the ligament efficiency of plain plates ?
3. If I have a hollow box (plain) which has dimensions of (W x H x D) 5 x 0.42 x 0.33 m. How to determine which one is h, H, and Lv ?. does it look like in the pict ?
Please help me. Thank you guys,.
