im taking a certifacation test and my last question is How do you determine the amperage required to charge a battery ? which is a confusing question because it does not give you any information about the battery type amps or volts these are the supplyed answers


How do you determine the amperage required to charge a battery ?

50% of the ampere-hour rating of the battery
30% of the ampere-hour rating of the battery
10% of the ampere-hour rating of the battery

General rule of thumb is 10% of capacity. This is to prevent overheating and possible damage to the plates. Hence, you will often say a notation of "0.1C" when charging is mentioned on a battery datasheet.
